High Manganese Steel Grade

Jaw plates, used in jaw crushers, can have either flat or corrugated surfaces on both the stationary and movable jaws. These plates are typically constructed from high manganese steel, which is a preferred material for its wear resistance. High manganese steel, also known as Hadfield manganese steel, is an austenitic steel with a very high manganese content. This type of steel is exceptionally tough, ductile, and work-hardens during operation, enhancing its durability.

We offer jaw plates in 13%, 18%, and 22% manganese grades, with chromium additions ranging from 2% to 3%. Please refer to the table below for our high manganese jaw plate properties.
